Course Description

Whether you are working with a small, medium or large organization, chances are you’ll never achieve your career expectations if you’re unable to answer questions like these with confidence:

  • What does EBITDA mean?
  • Why is budgeting so important?
  • What is the difference between cash flow and profitability?
  • What is the difference between an Income Statement and a Balance Sheet?
If you’re unsure about even one of those questions, that confirms you’re not able to contribute as well as others at meetings where finance is discussed. You’ll never be counted on to give a meaningful financial opinion…and that relegates you to second-tier status in the minds of your colleagues and superiors.

In just one hour, your can learn what it takes to make a profit!

Accounting in An Hour is the acclaimed 60-minute DVD course for non-financial personnel that can help you be more productive and valuable to any organization.

Just 60 minutes can put your career in passing gear!

Now you can gain the accounting knowledge you’re missing by taking the fast-paced course that has been such a hit with employees at companies like Pitney Bowes, International Paper, Canon, Harrah’s Entertainment, and Cendant. In a matter of minutes, Accounting In An Hour demystifies financial statements, helping you quickly understand how a company makes and loses money and how assets and liabilities are recorded.

If you’ll invest just sixty minutes in this self-directed course, you’ll not only think about your role in your organization in an entirely different manner, everyone else will think about you differently, too. You’ll have the tools to take part in meetings, contribute in financial discussions, and move up the ladder in your chosen career.

Your instructor for this course is Richard J. Makoujy. Richard J. “Rick” Makoujy began his career at Price Waterhouse, before joining a Wall Street brokerage firm as a securities analyst, authoring buy and sell recommendations for stocks and bonds. He later formed a merchant bank—RavensRock Capital—and raised millions of dollars of debt and equity capital from investors such as Goldman Sachs. He orchestrated the purchase, operation, and subsequent sale of a $115 million former Travelers Group-owned insurance company.

In addition to course development for Accounting In An Hour, Rick has recently performed turnaround consulting and due diligence advisory work for individual and corporate clients and also pursues real estate and small business purchase opportunities.
